Life Coaching

Life coaching and mental health therapy are both valuable approaches to personal growth and development, but they differ in their focus, scope, regulations and methodologies. Life Coaching, unlike mental health therapy, is not regulated by a governing body (though there are many certification options out there), and the focus will be on actionable goals to help you build the life that you want without getting into the weeds of emotional healing - the focus is not on emotional healing, though that does not mean that healing in some form may take place as you take steps toward your goals. My approach to Life Coaching is to utilize the skills I’ve learned as a Licensed Professional Counselor to help you uncover your goals in life, and how to achieve them!  Whether near or far, I can meet with you in person or online.

I would love to help your student start exploring their post-secondary options.  I am particularly passionate about students with learning differences, both those who need extreme support or those that need minimal support. Having worked in a private school setting for 10 years as the social emotional counselor and college counselor, I have a unique perspective in the life after high school journey. I've worked with a variety of students, from those wanting to find alternate pathways to reach their end goals all the way to those interested in competitive institutions.  Either way, I would love to consult and see if I could be a great fit for you and your student.  I'm blunt.  I'm honest.  I'm not about the bragging rights - I'm about finding great fits.  If this sounds like a match, contact me!
